GTI 2500 Nugget Hunter???

Hi everone, i am looking at going into the mountains looking for gold(hard rock, Quartz) or nuggets, Am i wasting time with my 2500. i only have the standard coils at the moment , do i need to get a scorcher coil.

Any info would be most helpfull.

Turn The 2500 to all metal,dial up the sensitivity,dig everything and have fun. If its gold and the depth is in reason you will find it. Just take your time and get what you can. My guess you will find more than just gold. Owe one more thing make sure there is no metal on your shoes , eye loops , steel toe , etc. Good luck
