Got about 20+ years now traveling the western states by road. Had a fly to job in the early 90s and couldn't stand it. I hate to go by the clock in life. In a vehicle you can get up early and put the miles behind or stay on the road a little later and catch up to be at your destination on time the next day. Plus you can get off and stretch your legs and take a little time and check the day out. I make it all work out. Most folks ask how I do all that driving. I just so enjoy it, is all I can think of.
