Found this military buckle on the bank of a waterway in central Idaho. Can you tell me anything about it? I found the following article referencing a similar buckle.

Greetings and Welcome to the forum. Your buckle is either a trousers buckle or a vest strap buckle, but not necessarily military related. It could well be, but not necessarily.
