I have came across an item with the markings within a cross and the only information I can find is info about glass. This item is not glass looks more like silver. Everyone that I have talked to cannot provide me with any information about this piece.

Hello salsa,

Welcome to TNet and thanks for showing us your silver plated urn or loving cup. The reason you're finding information on glass, is because it's the Hero Fruit Jar Co. They were well known for their glass fruit jars.

I never before knew of the silver plate business. Thank you. This must have begun about 1900 when the company was in receivership.

Thank you so much for telling me what this item was. I spent several weeks trying to figure it out it was a little frustrating lol

Do you have any idea what it could be worth or where I could find that information?

Hey salsa,

I'd search that electronic auction site for silver plated loving cups...

With the ding in the base, does it stand a bit wobbly?

Where'd you come across this?

Yes it does stand a little "wobbly"

I got it at a garage sale. I have talked to several people locally and searched the Internet for information. I have not seen or came across another item or information like this from the company and have stumped a lot of people.
