Had a battery blow up. Anyone else had this happen?

While a buddy of mine was running my T2, it started to wig out on him. I thought it was my gpx, which it may had been, but right after that he said it quit... So i looked at it and the battery level was nothing. (new duracells) so i popped the cover, and the one on top was cracked likt it had just blown up... wierd. I replace all 4 and it worked fine. ( He got his first nugget) 2 grains. So i guess its fine, but i wonder what went on there.

Agreed, very odd.

The last several years have heard of (and experienced personally) bad Duracells. I no longer regard Duracell as a good quality battery and have stopped buying them. Mostly these days I buy Radio Shack and Energizer.

I agree, duracell quality went way down hill. I've had some leak, but never blow up. I've never had any problems with energizers.
