Went to a nearby school for a few minutes. It was starting to get dark and I got a couple of hits on the way out of the playground. I was surprised to see that one of the pennies was a 1912. Also got an unusual button. I don't have a clue what the writing is or if it's worth anything.

That is a nice button. kind of hard to make out the writing, what does it have stamped?

very cool find, i did a little research earlier in the year and came up with the same results. heres one I found at a local park in May. congrats on a good hunt. :thumbsup:

It's a modern blazer button another one was posted just yesterday or so. I've seen a lot of those misID'd as rev war and civil war
mag posted a button like that in "What is it" The title is button ID If you want to check that out.
 

Still a very cool find on that button and SWEEEEET WHEAT.
