Friday started my newest silver streak, three days in a row again, whoo hoo! Also piling up the wheats with a new record(for me) of seven on Saturday. But Sunday was better with nine! and a 1942 Canada Prince George VI.
Saturday I went door knocking again and got three more permissions, all homes built between 1880 and 1910, so I figured I would find some goodies here.
I started the oldest house first and after half an hour go a pretty decent 25 signal, so after digging the hole it took me awhile to find my target, I thought it
was gonna be a Rosy or a Merc cause I could see by the rim it was a dime, I was very surprised to find a sailboat on it when I cleaned it off, my first Canadian
silver!
About 15 minutes later and about 30 feet away I got a real jumpy signal, I didn`t know what it could be, so I dug it thinking it could be penny at least and when
I flipped the plug out I saw silver pop out, when I cleaned it up I saw it was my second Merc! Wow, this day is going good for the first hour. Not ten minutes later
I started working the sidewalk by the house and got a real loud 31 signal, I figured I had a quarter, that's usually what that tone ends up being, but I didn`t know
until I got the hole dug that there was another silver Washington in the hole! Wow, that's my second yard with three silvers!
After that I spent another hour or so finding lots of memorial pennys and a few dimes and quarters, time to move on to the second house. I searched that for while
and after a few passes got a strong 22 signal and had to dig down real deep, I figure about 8 inches, once I got down there I pulled out what I thought was another
wheat penny, but when I cleaned it off saw it was a 1896 Indian Head! This day is just getting better and better!
Ended up the day with 91 coins and lots of yard left to check for Sunday.
Sunday I cleaned up what I had left on the second permission and moved onto the third, after about 15 minutes I was working my way around a big pine tree and
got a good 21 signal, when I dug the hole I found a 1906 Indian Head penny! Great start to this house, after making about six more passes I was struggling to get
under a Lilac tree and got a really jumpy signal, so I just dug it hoping for another wheat cent, once I got down about seven inches I was able to pinpoint it and get
it out, once again once I got it cleaned up I saw another Indian Head, this time 1889!
Once I worked myself around the other side of the big pine I got a strong 22 signal, that's normally a wheat, so when I dug the hole all I found was a big nail, I rescanned the hole with my pinpointer and it started screaming, so I dug a little more of the plug out and out pops a 1951 Washington quarter! what a surprise, I wonder if the nail knocked the signal down? Once on the ground I ran my Equinox over it and it started singing a loud 32!
After another hour or so I was able to pick up a 1954Washington and 1958 Rosy! Ended the day with 59 coins and my third three silver day! I spent eleven hours total the last two days!
I must protest tho, I found a pile of toy cars and everyone of them sound like silver, gets me all excited for nothing.
