Well after work I had an hour or so to kill. I was pet sitting at this ladies house, she has a small backyard that isnt well manicured, on the older side of town, so I decided to wip out the detector... First hit was a penny cant tell the year, then I found a buckle of some sort, then this wierd thing (next to the stake) gotta clean it off, found some misc scraps of metal, then I pulled out that long stake, and a few inches away i got that thing on the upper pic next to the stake (have no clue what it is) So basically I did ok. you can't even tell I dug anything, clean up all my wholes.

great you got out! hit the front yard around older trees and any clotheslines, also around the walkways. have fun and dont get frustrated, you will find some goodies and when you do plz post here on t-net. HH to ya Becky

in do time the finds will come! good luck! and at least you got out unlike me today ;D

I think your time was well spent. I'm not positive, but it appears you have found an old picket pin for
tethering a horse. They were used up to the early 1900's when the horseless carriage took over. It's
a very nice find! :hello2:
