Hafted scraper...blunt end scraper.....

Afternoon,

Still have a touch of the crud so haven't been doing much digging.....its finally warmer here now though...been waiting for these 70's for months. Ran across this little end scraper. It was a very nice point before they broke and reworked it into a hafted or end scraper. Don't know if I broke the little ear off or if it was ancient damage. Anyhow you run across a lot of these things....many for sale are faked for they are easy pickings for the average flint knapper to knock one out from a broken point. This is the real McCoy though.

Nice find Atlantis! I have been finding a few of those in my best field lately. Some of them look like they were very nice points at one time. I definitely pick them up. These point-turned-scrapers show just how resourceful the ancients were. They wasted very little.
