What a rush it was to find this plate, even if it was only half there. I hunted a large field today across the road from where my friend found alot of bullets at. 30 minutes into my hunt, out pops the plate that made my heart jump. The other mystery item is about the size of a half dollar with a full lead back IMG_0593.webp

Aughhh! I'd always wonder if the missing piece had a "C" or a "U" on it. Sorta makes you wonder don't it? Nice find though.

Cool Even half a buckjle is a good find. The other piece looks like a horse bridle rosette. It's more than likely civil war or earlier and should have had a single copper or iron bar across the back. If there any any rust spots toward the edge of the back it had an iron bar. That's also a cool find
