Half Dollar Box with a Wrinkle

This week's half dollar (Loomis) box started off on a high note -- the first roll contained 2 Franklin halves.

Suffice it to say that I was all jazzed up at the prospects of the other 49 rolls.

All precincts are now in and the final tally added one 40% silver and the most impaired proof (2009S, I think) that I've ever seen.

Still, two 90% and one 40% silver is a pretty good haul in 2024.

It is a pretty good haul by 2024 standards. The finds have dropped so much, that I don't even do it anymore. I have better luck finding silver halves with my metal detector.
