It is a clad coin, not silver so unless it has an error I would have to say it is worth .50 cents unless it is from a collectors set which they did have 40% silvers in which I have found 2 of while CRHing if you can see any copper on the reeded edge then it isn't silver. I hope this helped.

Yup, just a copper/nickel clad half. The only ones with any silver, were from the (S)an Francisco mint.
