Found this piece of a copper disc with 2 dimples punched in it and one punched clear through. It’s half missing, and I broke it by trying to straighten it. But I’m wondering if it’s a piece of trade copper or trinket? Maybe it’s not old at all, but I believe it is. It’s a tough one to photo for some reason, but upon further cleaning there may be a mark above the punched hole. Has anyone seen anything like this?

What are the dimensions? It is difficult to tell but some holes look bevelled so the screw head would be flush.

Kind of looks like part of an old gasket.

If it were complete, it would be about 1.5” in diameter roughly. The holes are evenly spaced but only one is through. They look to be crude as there is a rough raised portion on the back where the punch broke through. It’s funny you mention a gasket, as I’ve been a master diesel tech for almost 15 years. It would have been one very shade tree attempt at a gasket and appears to have been a solid disc. The area where it’s discovered is ancient but also is part of a large yard from a still standing 1930s home. They did have a lot of copper/brass early parts on cars and tractors. Thanks for looking.
