From the land of the Bluenose..... the armoury reminds Haligonians of their past when Halifax was first founded in 1749 and Citadel Hill Fortress was built. Situated on the "Commons" this building is still in use today by the military. Interesting footnote about the Commons. On the books it is still illegal to leave your cattle unattended. Great digging spot....with care!

There was a Historical Connection.
 

From the land of the Bluenose.....the second photo looks like one of the earlier forms of Citadel Hill which was rebuilt a few times and the first a scene from a fort in Point Pleasant Park which we are no longer allowed to dig in. Nice old photos and drawings.
