Halves -- 10/22/2011

Went to 4 different banks today and bought all the Halves they had. Totaled out to $210 in halves. All skunks. Hoping that the box of pennies and box of nickels turns out better.

Until Thursday this week, my teller-bought halves have always been skunks too. I've gone through hundreds of clads and had pretty much stopped even asking until Thursday on a whim.... so perseverance is needed. Good luck!

Does it make more sense to just have the bank order them?

I would suggest searching both half boxes if you can as well as loose and cwr's. I've had very good success with loose and cwr halves but some CRHers have had quite good success searching boxes. As most crh'ers say - volume is the key to success - as well as luck too.
