Well went back to a spot today that produced the gold ring and the wheats last hunt. This time the site produced a 1945d Silver nickel and this AWESOME Special sterling silver ring. See what is so special about this ring is that it is a Stuart Nye Handmade ring. Stuart Nye started making Sterling silver Dogwood rings in 1933. The original rings used Sterling silver. Just as this one is. This is what metal detecting is all about. See this ring is made at one house in Asheville, North Carolina. That is where they have been made since 1933. What are the chances of me digging a ring that is made at one house, by one man???
Finding it so many years later in Natchez, Mississippi. Some sweet little lady probably lost this ring in the 40's or 50's. I am super happy about finding this one. What a year it has been. I am also posting the link to the Stuart Nye webpage. Read about them. It is really cool. Hope you enjoy.

WOW ~ very nice finds!

I too found a piece of Stuart Nye jewelry a few months ago! It's a hair barret thing. I e-mailed the company to get more info on the piece. They guy that replied to my e-mail said that he's worked for Stuart Nye since 1949 and he's never seen the piece that I found! AMAZING!!!

Thanks for the pics guys. I know the ring I found is an early example of the Nye jewelry, because the logo that has the shamrock with the Nye in it isn't there in mine. All I have on mine is the stamp NYE no shamrock. So the ring was made before the shamrock logo came into effect. I am calling this morning and talking to someone. I will post up a more detailed picture in just a second. Plus I am pulling things like the war nickel and wheats from the 40s as well.
