Hardest war I ever fought

The wife is sick with strep throat so needless to say we couldn’t go anywhere and I had no Thanksgiving yet. So I went detecting while my Queen slept. I went to the 1820’s house better known lately as the iron field. Needless to say I found my war nickel on the last dig. Got a Paul Revere Insurance Co. token, old spoon and key hole and tins of iron. I was a true war.

Nice rip brother hope your better 7/8 gets better soon Happy t day also Trust me I would rather be detecting than gathering for a 5 hour dinner soon as the food hits the table all conversation stops its like Im at an iron workers work shop all you see is sparks flying from the forks hittin the porcelon dont reach for the stuffing without waiving a flag or youll get impaled by someones fork Well done My Friend

Nice find Truth. I'll almost bet that the number on top is someone's policy number, otherwise why would it say to drop in a mailbox and return ? That's way better than the piece of paper that I receive in the mail for my death insurance policy. Hope the Mrs. is better soon.

Good trip, I keep an eye on our nickels in the register. Way better luck finding a war nickel than any other silver coin, most people aren't aware that war nickels have silver.
