The engraving on this outer plate of a harmonica reads "RD'S BAND HARMONICA/REEDS WONDERFULL TONE/UNITED GERMAN MANUFACTURED". Germany was one "united" country between 1871 and 1918, so that narrows it down some. Trying to figure out the manufacturer and roughly date it.
