Has anyone ever detected in the Cayman Islands???

The Cayman Islands seem to be "off the radar" when it comes to researching metal detecting there.
I assume you are going to Grand Cayman and specifically the beach there. Here is what I know. Common sense (and the law!!) say that if you remove any antiquities, historical items etc you will be fined and perhaps imprisoned.
Private property (common sense) is off limits. The public beaches are fine.

I have found that after the powerful hurricane Ivan, the sand (and perhaps its contents) has been "cleaned". There is a lot of aluminum buried on the beach which I belive to be pieces of small water crafts and tin roofs.

When going though customs, be sure to have the owners manual to your machine to help describe its use...just in case.
