Hello, I am just wondering, have any of you ever found a key date coin with their metal detector
?
I have found a 1928 (no mintmark
) peace dollar (as well as a 1908 half eagle, not key date) in my grandma's change box, she never even knew it was in there (I didn't want to keep them). She thought the 1908 $5 piece was the most valuable thing in there, and didn't even consider that any other coin was even comparable to it.
So, what key (or even semi-key) coins have you found? Is it your best find? Have you found something better?
