Had the day off, nice and sunny so I decided to head to Dodge Park, a 60 mile round trip with horrendous traffic both ways for me so I don't go very often.
Probably the waviest body of water this fresh water guy has ever detected, I'm used to calm cool water and the waves made it a bit challenging [nothing like you ocean guys get I'm sure].
Found a silver band after 20 minutes or so, then a small 14k gold ring half an hour later. Went and dried off and had a smoke and went back out for about an hour, didn't find so much as a bottlecap.
So I decided to dry off then leave, figured might as well hit the sand while I'm drying.
Water area there is very expansive but the beach itself is small, not that many people there so I didn't feel awkward detecting. Found what looks to be a heart shaped coke stash box silver charm then another silver band very similar to the first.
Found at least 6 metal toy cars which I left by the surf for any kid that wanted them. All in all a nice day and worth the drive.
