hatchet head update and first cleaning pic's.

Found this hatchet head and can't stop thinking about its past. Still no makers mark and you can clearly see the break line inside the head but the actual hole on the back side is so small and skinny and barley the width of my thumb. seems kinda skinny.

That's a nice find. Definitely old. Probably homemade which would be why no makers mark. Just a guess though. I'm sure you'll find more goodies at that site. Maybe a sweet coin or two to share with us. Happy hunting!
