You'd probably have to ask a coin collector, I would think if you are looking for silver-only rolls, you're gonna have to find someone that sorts them out.

common wheat cents usually go for 4 cents each plus shipping on ebay. I have 25,000 right now I will be selling, but they are better than ebay with many steel, teens, twenties, thirties, and mintmarks. I could do 6 cents each plus $10 shipping if you are interested. I have 100% positive feedback on ebay. Let me know...Ryan

Utah Hunter, what's your eBay ID?

I have 2 of them. The one I have used lately for coins is littleadventures and the one I use seasonally for jewelry and pricier items is ryansgems. At the moment ryansgems has a barbie scanner, you can thank my 10 year old daughter for that one :). I have sold rings on ryansgems for as much as $3,000.

Here is a pic of the 25,000 wheaties(some indians) and my 15 year old son who helped in the preliminary sorting, which is as far as we have gotten ;D

That is a lot of work. How did you get 25000 in wheaties in the first place?

I got them from a man whose father had collected them over a thirty year period. The father died and the son isn't a collector. I bought them all a few weeks ago. I just got back from getting the counted. My buddy owns a coin shop and let me use his coin counter. It still took a long time. The final count was over 26,000. The pre 40 and indian stack has 2,065 in it. There are 234 in the steel cent stack. I picked a few pre 40's out of the stack that was supposed to be post 40, so my kids(or me ???) missed some. Close to 10% are pre 40, indian, or steel. Tons of mintmarks in this stack also, very cool. That is better than you will ever find in an"unsearched bag" on ebay. Those are the biggest scams of all time.

Boy, that is a lot of pennies. You sellin' or keeping them?

I am going to sell all of them. I was going to sell them on ebay, but after someone asked about buying wheaties I decided I am going to give tnet members a shot at them first. Earlier in the thread I mentioned 6 cents each plus $10 shipping for 2500, which is a killer deal when you look at the numbers above of keepers. I got a good deal, plus avoiding ebay fees I don't mind giving back to tnet. I am still not making much of a profit, but I never was greedy. If I sell on ebay I will probably sell them in lots of 250, and let the glowing feedback start hitting, then the lots will start going for 10 cents per wheatie.
