Haven't found one of these in a while

hadn't had much luck lately. been digging modern clad except for an unexpected '45 wheat the other day. so today i went to a friends house to install an HID kit in his Camry and noticed an old house at the end of his driveway. i asked him if i could metal detect it and said "i don't see why not. no one has lived there in forever." so i went over and found more trash than id ever seen at one house. it was like metal detecting the set of an episode of "hoarders". first find of the day was what i thought could be a plated pocket watch piece. turns out its junk. rest of the time was beer cans, bottle caps, pull tabs, fired bullets, and mason jar lids so i got fed up and left. on my way out i had a good signal and passed it up thinking it was gonna be another mason jar lid but halfway down the driveway my gut said that i need to go back and dig it. same thing happened the other day with a penny signal that turned out to be a cool baseball token. any who, i go back and dig through about 6" of gravel and find this wadded up hunk of Aluminum. after i wiped some dirt away i saw that it was in fact a STERLING RING! WOOO HOO!!! haven't dug one since the summer :headbang:
