Haven't opened a roll and I am $1.00 ahead.

Just opened this box and found this staring up at me. A Sacagawea wedged in the top of the roll. The roll has 20 halves. It is just an extra coin. Has anyone else ever found something like this?

Over 95 cents? Nope. Things like this are going to happen. If I have a bank that's kind enough to sell/order/let me cash in rolls of coins for no fee, then I'm not going to do anything whatsoever to jeopardize that over insignificant amounts of shortages.

That was the only dollar coin in the box. It was the best box I have had in a long time. 21 silver halves. 19 40's and 2 1964's. No silver in the roll with dollar coin.

Often times if a bank's coin machine is out of calibration, coins drop into the wrong bags. My best boxes have oddball coins (such as a quarter) in a roll, as well as pocket lint.

I got a dollar coin in cwr half dollars once. There was only 10$ in the roll so no gain. HH, Zach.

Thanks maverick. Hopefully silver will start to come out of hiding. I've heard about holiday silver showing up in Jan, Feb & March.

I once got an SBA wedged in the show-side of a shotgun CWR roll of halves. Pulled the SBA out and found a solid roll of 40%ers.

I was shorted a whole roll of halves in a box a few months ago. I just mentioned it in passing to the teller and she insisted that I take $10 from her. That's pretty impressive given that I didn't even have proof or really even ask for anything. She is keeper....Brad
