Ahhh....but youll have to look at Mud(swat)s post to see the frog...We hit the site we are calling honey hole #3, the one room school house across from the Grange bldg. The amount of keepers the 2 of us have pulled out of this small little plot is absolutely amazeing. first pic is Mud working the yard, and SHHHHH, he doesnt know i took his picture
I figured "ah what the heck, he never reads my posts anyway, lol. my total from here is 4 silver dimes, 2 war nickels, 3 buffalos, over 20 wheats a little doggie, lol. and a 1847 Large Cent. Mud had an awesome day by getting a first for his collection
not only did we clean up today, but we also talk to a local resident who gave us some info on a few other spots. Oh, and this guy also stated that many detectors have scanned this very school yard with little or no luck at all. he was very impressed with our finds and also with our respect for the lawn which we were digging in. The hole with the 16oz pepsi bottle in it is to show how deep the large cent was, the cap was even with ground level.
enjoy the pics
