Head Cold? That doesn't stop me!
For the past day or two I've had a head cold and sore throat. I worked all morning until about 2:30 and the weather was so nice that I called Carl and we went out digging.
First Location: Old spot in old town..... nadda
Second Location: 1891 School House..... nadda
Third Location: Late 1800s church..... nadda
Fourth Location: 1930 House Yard.... 5 wheats, silver rosie, 1891 Indian Head Cent... the indian head cent looks like its hit a lawn mower. We almost gave up on this yard... we were getting memorial pennies everywhere in the 5-6" deep range and figured the place for fill dirt. Then just as we were walking to the car I decided to dig one more and it was a wheat. So we decided to stay and dig the shallower coin targets. Indian Head at 4" and memorials right near it at 6"... odd yard!
Fifth Location: Old School yard.... silver rosie and mercury dime... the mercury has a gash in his neck that was put there before I got it. These were the only two coins found in this giant school yard and they were each 7-8" deep. Not even a clad coin near the surface.
Carl dug a few wheats I think.
