Heading out to the UP, any tips?

I'm heading out to the UP next week from the Twin Cities, and was hoping to do some detecting while I'm out there. I'll be driving along the south shore of Superior as best I can, going up to Copper Harbor then Marquette, among other places. I can't seem to find any decent old aerial photos of the area, so I was hoping I could get a few tips.

I detect up here in the UP often. There tends to be a great deal of mineralization. Tough ground to detect on. A good detector really helps. Good luck!
