Heading to Helen Ga. should I take my MD ?

5 of my buddies and I have a camp rented for a week on the Chattahoochee river. Its a trout fishing trip, but I thought I may take the metal detector along. I wouldnt have a clue where to hunt other than asking the cabins landowner to hunt there. Should I bother?
