Headphone question. AKG K240 made in Austria

Could anyone tell me how these headphones would work for metal detecting? AKG K240.
They're 4 - 600 ohms.
They are clear as a bell but a touch too loud. I've had em they're around 15 to 20 yrs old or more.

No better way to find out than give 'em a try!

If you're comfortable with them, they'll probably work fine.

Me? I prefer independent volume controls.
