Strange brass tag I found in a small field. The only other finds from it were a 1897 Canadian large cent, a 1860’s British half penny and a flat button. It says “heavenly rest Windsor,ON” which is not only a graveyard but very far from me here in Nova Scotia. Anyone have any idea what this type of tag could be used for? I’m thinking possibly to be put on a persons coffin for transportation back to where they wanted to be buried which in this case would be Windsor,ON? Maybe train cargo tag? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks for looking! [emoji16][emoji106]
