Heavy round lead disk?

found this in a field I was arrow head hunting in.weights 1.15 pounds.2 1/2 inches round and 1 inch thick with a ridge around the top. looks like a 3 inside the middle. looks to be made out of lead. and yes I did find some points

Lead base from a CW-era artillery shell? Not as knowledgeable as some other regulars where artillery is concerned, but I know some shells had a lead base. Give it some time and CBG or other notable will likely chime in.
