Hello. A few bottles. A little help?

I didn't collect bottles until 2 days ago when I came across an old coke bottle on a disappointing walk home from metal detecting. It wasn't much, but still my best find all day. Thanks to the internet I learned it was from the 1960's. Half century pop culture is cool, but I've also stumbled across these 2 other bottles since I started detecting last year & I'm less sure. The furthest one I'm guessing used a cork & maybe a little older than the middle? No marks at all on the brown bottle. It would be a bonus if someone could give the age or contents of these 2. Either way I just wanted to say hi, make my first post & announce to my local competition (1 guy I know of) that I'm also a bottle hoarder now! BTW the bottles in this forum are rediculous! I want some of those! I'm hooked. Thanks.

that weird looking "3" on the first one stands for "ounce" and the marks up the side are for dosing, yes a pretty common medicine type bottle, very common for early 20th century cough meds. (morphine or codeine based). It could have had a cork lined glass stopper.

Thanks for the info unclemac. I had no idea that 3 meant ounce. The smaller brown one was probably early 1900's medicine too I assume. It only has one revolution of thread. Makes sense not to put much of an obstacle between a person & their drugs. Happy hunting.

It's probably safe to assume that the screw top little brown medicine is probably from between 1910-20..great finds
