Hello From Connecticut

Just wanted to say hello as a potential and on my way to be a new detector in Connecticut.

Actively and currently looking to purchase a metal detector and been looking and researching what would be the best detector option to buy for myself.
Any suggestions and advice would be great as it seems just when I think I made up my mind on which to buy I seem to question if it’s the right one for me.

Recently divorced and have always wanted to take this hobby up as I think it is going to be a lot of fun with hopefully some great finds. Have been also making a list of areas I always wanted to try and hunt at around me.

Brian, A Big Welcome to You to the Tnet forum from Georgia. Best of luck in your quest for a MD. There are a lot of quality MD's in the market today. If I may, A few things to consider: 1) what type of hunting will you primarily be doing, coin\ Jewlry, relic, or gold nugget hunting? 2) will you be hunting land, beaches, woods, or freshwater beaches? 3) do you want a waterproof MD? and last but not least, do you want a good multi purpose MD that hunts coin\jewlry, relics, and prospects well? Once you take these into consideration, watch Utube videos on these different makes and models. Happy Hunting and Researching. Oh, and if you have questions, feel free to ask.
