Hello and welcome from Wisconsin.
How is the "fire situation" going? Don't hear a lot about it any more.
Seems crooked politics is much more important to the media.

I haven't seen any fire but a few weeks ago it was smokey as hell where I am to the point it was hard to breathe. Also apparently lots of people are questioning where the donation are going because apparently only a third of the donations are going to the fire service. Also over a billion wildlife such as koala's, kangaroo's have died from the fires. Though how can they possibly know how many?

also apparently the smoke from australia reached south america and south america is also having fire issues. Oh and the usa sent some firefighters here to help and some of them died in a plane crash. Its like hell or something idk.

So sorry to hear all of that. People who "misdirect" relief funds should be dealt with harshly.
I have always wanted to visit there butwill never be able to now. No way I would fly again,
I've always wanted to see your night sky, the wildlife, etc.
I don't know how they can predict the number of animals killed either.
"A billion" seems quite high. Hopefully the country will be able to recover from this but I am sure it will take some time.
Thoughts and prayers to the brave firefighters who face death to save others.
Thanks for your reply and take care.
