Hi there,
I knew about this forum for some time, but just now I'm getting up and going over here. Been on the friendly metal detecting board for a few years now. Love this hobby. Ever since I was a kid I remember being the happiest being out in the dirt and digging for things, and remember my mother calling me inside to come in and get cleaned up and eat because it was getting too dark out, LOL. I re-discovered that passion a few years ago and haven't stopped since. Sometimes I don't quite get out as much as I'd like, but when I'm out detecting I'm in another world. I just love digging for and finding things whether it's in the dirt, sand, or in the water. I also really get a kick out of the history of this stuff that we find in the ground. To think a lot of this stuff would be forever 'lost' had we not found it.
I hunt mostly with my good buddy 'Rogue' from the other forum, but hunt alone too at times. I've meet up with Silverstar (that guy is good at what he does) and his buddy Rob from the other forum too at times, both cool cats.
Looking forward to doing a lot of hunting this year, especially concentrating on some Farmer's fields (which I have access to a ton of), some rivers and lake hunting too. Finally set up to do some Scuba and hunting this year too, so I'll be posting that as I go.
Oh one more thing I still swing an ACE-250 on land and use an Eccelartor coil, sniper coil, as well as the stock at times. Different coils for different jobs. Next year I want to upgrade my land machine and possibly purchase a good PI Water Unit as I figure I have the VLF Water machine covered with the Fisher CZ-21.
Cheers and Happy Hunting all,
