Hi,

Im from Victoria in Australia. I am mostly in to prospecting and have merely been doing it for just over a year so I'm learning something new every day. Im also interested in the treasure and relic hunting side of things, but being in Australia there isnt nearly as much cool stuff to find. Nonetheless, still want to get a nice entry level detector soon enough when I can afford it.

I frequent a couple of Australian prospecting forums but they're not enough to satisfy me haha so here I am...

Welcome to a great site. I would love to swing a good gold machine over there where you are some day. Good luck to you! If serious about a machine, just remember a cheap machine will most likely just piss you off. Get what you can afford. Search the forum for what others use and like and why.

And yeah I hear you re the cheap detector. This is why I don't have one yet. I think I've done enough research and know what I might want and it's a little out of my price range for now. But I'm happy to wait and get a machine that I know will be acceptable out in the field. Hopefully some money comes my way soon and I can get on with it ey
