I have always had a huge passion for finding rocks and artifacts and minerals as long as I can remember. I think back to all the pieces I have found and discarded while hiking as a kid not realizing how special they were. I would love to meet with some'old timers" from around here to learn. And maybe hear some stories. And maybe learn about my grandfather who died before I could meet him. I now live on his old homestead and have found many neat things in the dirt. It's a passion that is the best feeling I have found. Hope to hear from someone. Thank you !

Hello, along time ago I used to camp around Max. The water was extra low than and it seemed like there was an endless beach oasis for about 45 days before and after the Fourth of July.
Look at all the Steve Larson stuff on this site. The most best first people’s artifacts found there are as good as they get anywhere. That alone makes me want to go back.
There are only 2 seasons in NoDak. There is winter and than it’s still winter and than winter will be over soon and it will soon be winter.

My great grandfather and his siblings used to live in Barnes and the Minaret area. I think the left lots of Nybecks around those parts.
