I'm a South Florida rookie hunter. Just bought my first md couple weeks ago. I've had excellent luck at the parks so far and fair luck at the beach. Now that I've confirmed that I love this hobby, I will need to be upgrading my md very soon! Any suggestions would be appreciated. I'm looking for a mid level md that will do well on the beaches around the $500 mark. Until then I'll be hitting the dirt with my bh1100:icon_scratch:

I've found tons of modern coins with the earliest dating to only the 1960's & mostly at a couple parks. Any good hunting ground suggestions or tips would also be appreciated! Like I said I'm in SE Florida on the coast just south of the treasure coast:hello2: in palm beach county. Glad to be on here & I hope to be posting some remarkable finds soon!:icon_thumleft:

that is where I want to treasure hunt in Florida....of course being from Louisiana I have no idea what the laws are concerning the beaches down there......do you know anything about the treasure hunting laws especially in parks?

Welcome back and was wondering if you will be hunting on the wet sand or just the dry sand beaches?
Best of luck!
