Having dug a few house sites, I would guess your items are older than the 1920s. But from what you are saying, don't give up. Every generation lays down there own good targets. Sometimes you have to dig a lot to get down to the real old stuff. Good luck with it.

when I see fancy decoration like a few of things pictured here "Art Nouveau" comes to mind made to look nice basically using curves, leaves, and immitating floral patterns "think paisley". The style started to become popular in the 1890's all the way thru til the 1910's. Has been redone a few times in our history trying to bring back the old loved styles but I find alot of drawer pulls and decorative parts like this in late 1800's homesites also. Now the milky looking glass was more popular in the 1920's and 30's.

I think theres 2 separate time periods here one about a few inches than one a foot or so down some surfaced but that's a guess after working the area over for long while

I have found glass like that at home sites from around 1900. Almost identical in color to the green stuff. I've found some white too.
