I will address you second button first. The backmark book says the following: "Cumner, Jones & Co, Boston began in the 1850s as D.J. Foster & Co and in 1866 as Sibley, Cumner & Co. H. W. Cumner & N.P. Jones were listed from 1879 to at least 1910 as tailors and trimmings dealers at 71 Summer Street and 90 Chauncy." About the most I can tell you about the first button is that it is post civil war.
