Found this Bullet a couple weeks ago along with a belt Buckle posted on Todays finds a couple of days ago. It looks very near the same diameter as the 3 ringer 69 cal pictured with for comparison. It is a tad more than 1/4" from base to bottom edge of groove. Could this be a xtra-high base French 1859 triangle base? If so what could it be worth in condition pictured? Thanks alot in advance, happy hunting. Also this bullet was found in mid MO. JYD

Yep that what you have, a French Dragoon or as some people call it,a French triangle bullet. Is it a drop or has it been shot? I would say that it could be a high base, but not an extra high base I don't believe. Not really sure what a good price would be on it,as I have not bought one in a while,Jonathon.

I'd say MM 266,definetlly a high base, the lower base's are going anywhere from 7-23$......Still looking to dig one myself,Great Find!!!

Very nice find, that bullet is a pretty hard to find. The price guide list it for $60 to $70 in good condition.
