Was on a site that had an old homestead or school as I have found lots of broken brick & copper flashing, etc... I found this interesting piece... Some "Fancy" on the side - also looks like silver wash/plate. Any idea what this is? Thanks in advance!

my first thought is that it's possibly part of a (broken) swing arm curtain rod

Is it hollow? Maybe part of a gas light fixture. Turn of the 20th C.

I gotta get one of these books! I have a place in NW Pa that was a 1500 person town that disappeared in the early 1900's, I find tons (literally) of brass light stuff. I'll have a Metal Diggrz video coming out someday that'll have the woods and creek hunt that I found a bunch of valves and lamp arms, amongst silver coins, crotal bells, ax heads....
