Found in RI, In an old farm field that is now a ball field. The broken shoe buckle came up first , ,then this odd Flat button. What makes it so odd is the center part of the button is made from what appears to be thin copper wire that was coiled to look like a flower my guess, I tested the button with a high powered magnet and nothing is magnetic.
any one have any idea as to dating this button ? or if that style has been seen ? I could not find one like it online.

I also found a round ball in the same area.

Nice (and interesting) finds WildThunder. Thanks for sharing...

Nice finds. Sorry I can’t help with the button.

I would guess late 1700s / early 1800s.

Seen something similar but not a match. It is easy to date though, mid-late 18th C.
