Hello All,

Friend and I went to a private permission over the weekend. Had some awesome finds throughout the weekend. He found this coin and we can't seem to get a positive identification.
One would easily say that it is a KG, but after reviewing several examples, we cannot say with complete certainty that it is. The obverse shows a bust facing left, however, the bust has pointed
shoulders (the best way that I could describe it). The reverse is toast, that is why I did not post the photo. Can anyone help ID this coin? It would be helpful if you can point to specific
reference points on the coin to justify your results, or post a non-dug example of the coin for comparison.

More of his finds can be viewed at Facebook under Detectorist

Much appreciated

Looks like kgII need some better cleaned up pics or both sides. Use a bit of distilled water to soak in and clean it up

I agree that it may not be a KGII as it looks a little weird, but it's hard to see anything in the photo because it's blurry. Could be an ugly counterfeit, a CT copper, a KGII Hibernia, or something different all together. Can't tell because of the photo.
