This was 2-3 inches down, front yard, have no idea of what it is - any ideas? It is abt the thickness of a dime, is heavy for size. My hand is a little taller and not as long as a dollar bill, to help scale for you. Didn't think to scale it in the photo!

Almost looks like a throttle gear off an old tractor but that just a wild guess.
