✅ SOLVED Help identify - Old Key? RR or Farm item?

Dug out an old fence post and found this. My farm property borders the late Chicago, Rock Island, and Pacific RR - thought maybe this was an old railroad item. It is quite large and heavy. There is a large 5 pointed star on each side of the “key” - you can barely make it out on the large part of the base. You can see the star best in the middle picture. I did a search for “large keys” on the net, but nothing like this came up. Thanks for looking! And thanks in advance for the help.

When you say "5 Pointed Star" are you talking about the keys in this paddlock ( Antique Padlocks )?
