Hello

Can anyone tell me anything about this cannon?

It was discovered while some works were done in a fishing pier on the island of Teneriffe, Canary Islands, Spain.

- Iron cannon
- No marking
- Long: About 55 inches
- Bore: About 3,2 inches

Thanks

I'd guess 17th to 18th Century. After the beginning of the 19th century, technology improved. Looks like a naval piece.

1700's . Early casting, looks like the muzzle was cracked or hit by shot?

Hello everybody

I think it's from an American schooner sunk in 1780. Can it be an English or Swedish cannon?

It would seem the ship would be right where the cannon was found . A Spanish Galleon would be nice before Mel fisher plunders it lol AWESOME FINDS> Tommy

I remember hearing somewhere that the more rings on a cannon the older it is.

We are surrounded on all Sides...Blackbeard "Good Now We Can Fire In All Directions"

This may appear to be from the late 16th Century Spanish Armada.

What is interesting is that there are no markings.

Pirates...would file off the markings to prevent any recognition of ownership.
