help identifying possible site

Hello,

Not sure if this is the correct section of forum to post this but figured I would give it a try. I am researching a site that I would like to MD in and I took a couple of photos of things that are there. Was wondering if someone could possibly give me a rough date of when these things could have been placed and what they are?
The first photo is a couple of stone columns that could have been a gate. I found a map of my town from 1922 and it seems to show this area but there are no houses or roads that lead away from these structures. On the map there is a road that leads to one side but not away from the other side.

The other photo shows a pole with a curved top on it like it could have held a lamp or something. Any ideas on what it was used for?

I'm guessing at least 60 - 80 years old. I would ask permission and hunt it if you can.
When you hunt it, I would dig everything. You never know what is there unless you dig it.

I believe the pole was for hanging a lantern.
