Any help figuring out what this is would be greatly appreciated.

Just a wild guess, but maybe an adjustment knob for a roof mounted radio antenna from an old Buick.

More probably a knob from an appliance, washer or dryer maybe from a water heater.

Agree. Appliance knob with pointer. Maybe for radio volume or band selector.
